Hi ,

In this issue you will receive a special bonus gift, just by answering the three questions at the end. A special gift just for you, so please, read on:

Miracles really do happen, how do I know? I just called my editor at McGraw-Hill to talk about Super Service, and she said, “We really need another Customer Service book from you,” So I said, “Of course, when do you want it?” And she said, “We’ll publish it as soon as we get the copy from you.” So that’s my quest, to write another book!

How do these things happen? They happen when you focus on being happy right now, right where you are. Yesterday, I went on this ‘driving experience’, where I drove a really fast sports car on a real live race track—helmet, fire protective clothing, the whole nine yards. And one of the things I learned was the real live experience of focusing, and what happens when we focus on a particular thing.

One of the exercises was to drive as fast as I could towards a series of cones. When I got to the cones I had to brake really hard and then steer to the right, into the gap between the other cones. The first time I did it, I hit the breaks hard and smashed the cone! The instructor told me, “You have to think of the cone as the devil, same as you would if a car was breaking in front of you. It is the devil!” I’m thinking, what the heck is he talking about, the devil? However, what he said next made so much sense to me, “If you look at the cone, or the car in front of you, you will automatically steer into it. That’s why accidents happen where one car hits another and starts a domino affect. Every one of those drivers was focused on the car in front. If they had focused on steering into the gap they wouldn’t have driven into the car in front!

He was telling me what I already know, what you look at and focus on, is what you steer towards! The second time I did the exercise I drove at full speed towards the cone, braked and then focused on where I wanted to go, the gap between the cones. And that’s where I drove—in-between the cones as easy as pie! It’s exactly the same with everything you do in your life. What you look at, what you focus upon is what you will steer towards and where you will arrive.

If you focus on a bad experience, you will keep steering there and keep on ending up there. But, if you focus on where you want to go, that’s where you will land. So if you have money problems and keep focusing on the problem, and the struggle of it, that’s where you will keep landing. If, on the other hand you focus on handling your money with ease, and money coming into your life, that’s where you will end up, with your money handled!

So with the McGraw-Hill experience, I had been thinking about writing another book, and that’s what’s happened, I’m writing another customer service book, I’m not sure of the title yet, I’m thinking of ‘What Customers Really, Want!’ And that’s where you come in. I would very much appreciate your help. Would you take a moment and complete the following three questions and send them back to me with your name and job title. That’s all, just three questions; it will make me very happy, plus you will receive a special bonus gift!

I want to find out what YOU the customer wants. Thank you so much for your help and support, I really appreciate it. Here are the three questions:

  1. As a customer, what do you want?
  2. As a customer, what do you feel stops you from getting
    what you want?
  3. In your experience what do customer service people do best?

Just email jeff@mjlearning.com with your answers and await your special bonus gift!

My very best regards to you.

Jeff
