| We provide coaching programs and supporting ‘stand-alone’ CD-ROM’s using the GROW model so that managers and business leaders can reinforce ‘post’ on-the-job the training. Like most excellent coaching programs, we promote the idea that every individual is a whole and resourceful human being who already has all the solutions within—coaching is simply a way to support each individual in accessing their own knowledge.
We teach potential coaches to ask Powerful Questions that enable the person being coached to seek out solutions rather than be told what to do. Being actively engaged in the process of finding solutions brings about a clearer understanding of the problem, and a strong buy-in for making the solution work. Specifically our coaching programs support managers and business leaders in understanding and using the following skills:
- Accountability—hold your people accountable by using SMART goals
- Inquiry—ask Powerful Questions so your people provide their own solutions
- Listening—actively listen so that you understand the needs of your people
- Self-Management—focus on being objective and not judgmental
- Intuition—have a ‘sense’ of what is going on ‘behind’ the words
The success rate of our coaching programs speaks for itself. As one manager told us, “Whereas before I felt I was always having to find solutions and get buy in from my people—now I am just guiding my people on which solution to use.”
